Summer Lodge is located 17 kms west of Chania town by the old costal road and there is frequent bus service to the airports CHQ & HER as well as to the ports of Chania & Heraklion. CHANIA town (also spelt as Hania) is the connection point whether you arrive by plane or boat. If you arrive to Crete at Chania airport, code CHQ you can either get the public bus (3 €), or a taxi to Chania town (drive costs about 25 €) then the bus to Pirgos Psilonerou (last bus around midnight). Ask which bus goes to Maleme and buy a ticket before getting on. We are located between bus stops PIRGOS & MALEME (2 minutes walk, single ticket costs about 3 €). A taxi fare from airport to Summer Lodge costs about 50 €. If you arrive by ferry to Chania (Souda Port) you can get the local bus (blue colour) to Chania town and then the bus to Pirgos Psilonerou. A taxi fare from Souda Bay to Summer Lodge costs about 45 €. From Heraklion port or airport (code HER) you can get the local bus or a taxi to the town centre (10 minutes drive) then the bus to Chania (single ticket costs about 17 EURO, last bus leaves at 21:00). A taxi fare from Heraklion to Summer Lodge costs about 180 €. If you drive your own car, take the new national road to Kissamos, then the second exit passed Chania. Look for the signs Platanias – Maleme.

CHQ airport. During the summer season April to October there are more than 80 direct flights daily, connecting Crete with the rest of Europe. Please check on the Internet or with your local travel agent for prices and schedules. Additionally if you travel via Athens there are daily 10 flights (duration 45 minutes) from ATH airport by skyexpress.gr & aegeanair.com

SOUDA port. There is daily an overnight ferry from Pireas-Athens (duration 9 hours) while on weekends and peak season there is in addition a daytime one. Ideal option if you wish to visit more Greek islands. Check www.greekferries.gr or www.ferries.gr  for prices and schedules.
